Fitness & Racquets


Athletic

  • Proper athletic wear and warm ups are acceptable.
  • Shirts and shoes are required at all times.
  • Swim suits and sandals are not permitted inside the workout area.
  • Swim suit cover-ups are permitted in the Athletic Club Cafe.

Usage Rules and Regulations

  • A Guest Fee of $10 is allocated for all guests. A guest may visit up to 10 times during the calendar year. Guests must be checked in at the front desk upon each visit.
  • Children ages 12 through 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Children younger than 12 must have special permission from the Athletic Director or Asst. Athletic Director.
  • Ages 12-16 are encouraged to begin with an equipment orientation.
  • A member's child may continue to use the facilities up to age 25, as long as they are full-time students at accredited educational institutions.
  • Cell phone usage is limited to the phone room and athletic grill areas.
  • A medical history questionnaire is required for all first time visitors.
  • A medical release from a physician is required for all individuals still under the care of their physicians.
  • Equipment Orientation is complimentary to all new members within the first 90 days of membership and appointments may be set up with a staff trainer by calling 614-799-1575 or rob@brooksidegcc.com

Tennis

  • The Tennis Professional, Assistants or the General Manager of the Club have the power and discretion necessary to enforce the rules of tennis.
  • All tennis rulings by the Club Professional are final.
  • The Tennis Professional and Assistants will maintain a registry.  Every Member will sign the register and shall register the name of any guest.
  • Non-members may play up to 5 times per year. Members are to register the guest(s) in the Tennis Shop.  Guest fees are $10 per day.
  • Adult members shall have priority on the courts Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday evenings after 6:00 pm and on weekends and holidays.  Adult court privileges shall be extended to high school graduates.
  • Two adults must play to constitute adult privileges in doubles.  In addition, courts 4-7 are equipped with lights, which may be used until 10:00 pm.
  • The Tennis Professional and/or Tennis Committee shall have the authority as to the interpretation of proper tennis attire.  The Club's interest include:
    • Protection of the court surfaces
    • Prevention of distraction of those on the tennis courts
    • Dress consistent with Club decorum and dignity. To secure these interests the following rules will be enforced:
      • Shoes - Tennis Shoes Only
      • Attire - Tennis shirts, Tennis tops, Tennis shorts or Tennis dresses must be worn at all times. 
      • "Cut-Off" pants, Bermuda shorts, gym shorts or swimsuits are not appropriate in the Tennis area.
  • To promote these interests the following rules shall be enforced:
    • No member may host more than 3 guests at any given time
    • Each member hosting a guest MUST play with the guest
    • Guest must be registered in accordance with bullet point number three
    • Members may not sponsor the same guest more than 5 times per season
    • A guest fee of $10.00 per day will assessed to the sponsoring member
  • No food or beverages, intoxicating or otherwise, shall be brought onto Club property.
  • All members are expected to cooperate in maintaining the appearance of the facility.  Drink and tennis ball containers and other discarded items should be placed in receptacles provided.  No food shall be permitted on the tennis courts.
  • Please use proper tennis etiquette at all times using the following guidelines:
    • When courts are crowded, playing time will be limited to 1 hour.
    • Good sportsmanship does not include swearing, violent displays of temper, throwing rackets, and striking or leaning on nets.
    • The Tennis Professional is responsible for and is granted authority for implementation of the Tennis Rules.
    • Do not walk across a tennis court that is in use.  Go to proper entrance gate to enter your court.
  • Small children shall not be left unattended in the tennis area.
